A course on research in child rehabilitation and good clinical practice in collaboration with the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD)
A 5-full days course, practical and immersive, organized as a University of Pisa Summer School by the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD), with the support of the IRCCS Fondazione Stella Maris.
Target group of attenders made of maximum 32 clinicians and researchers (aged less than 35 years)) working in the disciplines related to rehabilitation of childhood disabilities with interest in performing research in this field, selected based on CV.
Cost of the course €500 including accommodation, breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks. Bursaries (for €500 fee and up to €300 for travel cost) available

31st Annual meeting of the European Academy of Childhood Disability in Paris (France). The conference will take place at the conference centre of la Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie (City of Sciences and Industry) of La Villette, from May 23rd to 25th May 2019.
The 2nd Neuro-MIG Training School will be held at the Institute of Histology and Embryology at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, on December 14 – 15, 2018.
Members of Neuro-MIG COST Action and worldwide known experts will share their expertise with young colleagues by lectures and work on adult and fetal brain sampling techniques, biobanking of brain tissue, and virtual histology slide analysis of normal and brain malformation cases. Concise literature will be distributed to participants in advance.

Trainees will be asked to prepare at least one case to be discussed on related topics (antenatal/ postnatal cases along with neuroradiological/molecular/histopathological data). They should also prepare 5 slides to present the challenges they encounter in their daily work life which will also cover their home institute’s challenges. They will present, discuss and be ready to integrate the knowledge that they gained through the course to their presentation.

We are glad to announe you the 1st EPIPED-EEG Course in Bologna (Italy) to be held in March 9-13, 2019.
Child Neurologists, Pediatricians and Neurologists, even when not specialized in epilepsy, have to face new-onset potentially rare, complex or drug-resistant epilepsies. EEG and Video-EEG (VEEG) are always the first diagnostic tools with history acquisition and clinical examination. Analysis of the EEG and VEEG recordings guide both the prescription of other diagnostic investigations (neuroimaging, genetic screening) and the first treatment choices. Follow-up and treatment strategies also highly depend upon EEG and VEEG.
This 3-year cycle on interactive interpretation of EEG and VEEG patterns is developed specifically forchild neurologists, neurophysiologists and pediatricians caring for children with epilepsy.
The 2019 course includes training modules covering different aspects of the electroencephalography in pediatric focal epilepsies.
